Christmas Party Location Issues

Postby Ndure » Mon Dec 13, 2010 4:22 pm

Dear Ndure,

I thought you should be made aware that ARK has requested us to DJ a Christmas event that runs right over top of your event. I made it quite clear that we will be DJing your event for the 4 hours you requested as you didn’t wait till the last moment to schedule like they did.

My question is however, to ease things for everyone would you mind having your party at The Grind instead if ARK does choose to keep their event on the 18th instead of moving it to another day? That way the party can just transition smoothly between your event and the ARK/FC one. I would tell them they have to move their event but the kind of gathering a FC party pulls would be bad news for Bors.
Let the deed show.

The grind is as big a lag central as bor is!
There is, however, this little plateau outside newland's north gate and to the left as you exit. Never, ever had any lag issues there. What do you think?

Actually, The Grind playfield may be laggy, but it is specifically designed to reduce lag. There is no playfield in AO that is as lag free as The Grind when it comes to a big event. I can understand why FC puts all of the major events there, the last anniversary party in ICC sucked, as players were randomly warpped out to prevent overloading. Once it moved the The Grind, it got much bigger and was mostly problem free. Though there is some lag.

As for moving to The Grind, I don't see why we should move our event. FC can have their event at The Grind after our event, which is fairly early.

Cool. I'll be there with bells on... if I can find my bells in my inventory.
